Read moreBentley has unveiled a concept car that bridges the brand’s storied past with its vision for the future. The EXP 15, revealed in July 2025, isn’t slated for production but serves a vital role in shaping the design language and technology direction of Bentley’s upcoming vehicles. This three-seater electric concept blends the timeless elegance of classic Bentleys with bold innovations in both design and user experience.
At first glance, the EXP 15 commands attention with its striking proportions and balanced stance. Its upright modernized grille, elongated “infinite” hood, and muscular rear haunches pay tribute to the iconic 1930 Bentley Speed Six Gurney Nutting—also known as the “Blue Train.” Designers have preserved classic Bentley cues while adapting them for the modern era using taut surfaces, advanced LED lighting, and active aerodynamic features.
Five key design principles guided the exterior: upright elegance, the signature grille, an uninterrupted hood line, a relaxed yet powerful animal-like posture, and a meticulously finished rear surface. The result is a majestic silhouette—fluid, assertive, and a clear sign of the styling direction for Bentley’s future electric lineup.
Crafted with the help of virtual reality, the cabin features an unexpected three-seat layout. There’s a single driver-side door, two passenger-side butterfly doors, and a panoramic roof—creating a unique boarding experience. The rear bench offers a welcoming space, while the front passenger seat swivels for easy access or a laid-back lounging position.
Inside, digital and physical elements are seamlessly blended. Traditional mechanical switches sit alongside adaptive digital interfaces. The dashboard can either display relevant driving information or transform into a sleek, lacquered wood panel. At the heart of it all is a complex horological centrepiece, dubbed the “Mechanical Marvel,” symbolizing the union of art and engineering.
Bentley has partnered with British artisans to blend heritage materials with a forward-thinking approach. The cabin features 100% wool fabric from Fox Brothers paired with 3D-printed titanium accents—offering both visual appeal and lightweight performance. Silk jacquard from Gainsborough adds an extra layer of refinement.
Some interior panels are backlit with a sculpted diamond pattern that echoes Bentley’s signature seat design. On the exterior, the satin Pallas Gold finish incorporates metallic pigments that are compatible with advanced safety sensors—highlighting the brand’s dedication to both form and function.
While technical specs haven’t been disclosed, the EXP 15 rides on a fully electric all-wheel-drive powertrain. Bentley is aiming for a high driving range and rapid charging capability, meeting the expectations of its discerning clientele. The EXP 15 is a clear statement: performance, comfort, and sustainability can go hand in hand for 21st-century grand touring.
The Bentley EXP 15 isn’t just a style exercise—it’s a roadmap for the next generation of luxury electric vehicles. Rather than simply echoing the past, it draws from it to create something modern, daring, and true to the Bentley identity. With this concept, Bentley explores new ways to define automotive refinement, aligned with today’s aesthetic, technological, and environmental challenges.
