Servicing an Aston Martin or Bentley vehicle requires a specific set of skills. It is a ritual in itself, conducted to keep your investment to the best of its performance capacities and value.
Omar Libbos is the person you will meet following your purchase of an Aston Martin or Bentley vehicle at Decarie Motors. As services manager, Omar and his team provide technical care that will go well beyond your expectations – and he will even give you his personal phone number if you have a technical question about your vehicle outside office hours!
We took some time so speak with him about his role at Decarie Motors.
How is service different with an Aston Martin / Bentley vehicle compared to other brands?
OL: We basically roll out the red carpet for each and every customer. Clients who own Aston Martin and Bentley vehicles acquire these vehicles for the overall experience that they provide. And we want to offer them technical services that are up to par with that experience. Aston Martin and Bentley have a long history in the automotive market and we are proud to serve the clientele with the upmost attention.
In the end, the client is part of our family as soon as he or she gets the keys to the vehicle.
What are the advantages of carrying out maintenance at Decarie Motors?
OL: First, whether it be a 1950 or a 2021 model-year Bentley or Aston Martin, the client is always treated with the same level of service. We can pick up the client’s vehicle and bring it back free of charge after the work has been carried out. But we have a fleet of Jaguar courtesy vehicles for the client on the go.
I’ve been part of the Decarie Motors family since 1996, and have been a Bentley technician for most of these years. Bentley and Aston Martin offer plenty of support for all model years and we carry out the repairs with factory standards and beyond. In fact, all of our technicians are factory-trained and up to date with the latest on all models for both brands.
What does it take to be an Aston Martin / Bentley technician?
OL: First, one has to have the will to constantly learn and to stay up to date with every technical bulletin. The technician must also be very attentive to details. Being clean and organized are obvious and essential qualities, in the service bay, but also with the client’s vehicle at all times. Working on Aston Martin and Bentley vehicles is more than a job, it’s a lifestyle.
If you had to purchase an Aston Martin or a Bentley for yourself, which one would it be?
OL: I’ve been involved with Bentley for 22 years, so I have a soft spot for this specific brand. I would definitely go for a Continental GT coupe, with a funky body colour – not grey or black. Bentley has an extensive colour palette, so a nice flamboyant yellow or red would definitely do it for me!
