Bentley has introduced its fourth-generation Flying Spur, boasting an impressive 771 hp and 738 lb-ft of torque from its new Ultra Performance Hybrid powertrain. This makes it the most powerful Bentley sedan ever produced, capable of accelerating from 0-100 km/h in just 3.5 seconds while offering an electric range of 76 km.
The Ultra Performance Hybrid system combines a 592 hp 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 with a 187 hp electric motor, resulting in a 19% increase in power and 11% increase in torque compared to the previous model. This powertrain not only delivers exceptional performance but also significantly reduces emissions, with CO2 output at just 33 g/km.
Drivers can choose between Hybrid, EV, and Sport modes, with the new Flying Spur featuring All-Wheel Steering and an electronically-controlled Limited Slip Differential. The chassis has been upgraded with Bentley Performance Active Chassis, active torque vectoring, and twin-valve dampers for improved handling and ride comfort.
Exterior updates include a new grille, bumper, and diffuser, along with dark tint brightware and new 22" wheel options. Inside, the Flying Spur showcases Precision Diamond quilted seats and new 3D diamond hide on doors. A new Wellness seating option with Postural Adjust and Seat Auto Climate is now available for all four seats.
The Flying Spur's all-new electrical architecture enables advanced technologies, including the My Bentley App Studio, which integrates popular apps directly into the car's system. Audio options range from a standard 10-speaker system to a premium Naim system. Safety and convenience features include wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and enhanced driver assistance with Intelligent Park Assist.
Environmental considerations are at the forefront, with the ability to run in full EV mode for up to 76 km and reach speeds of 140 km/h electrically. The battery can be fully recharged in under 3 hours, thanks to upgraded chargers with 11 kW peak charging power.
Bentley's commitment to customization continues, with over 101 paint colours, 22 primary hide colours, and extensive wood and technical finish options available. The new Flying Spur represents a significant step forward in luxury performance sedans, combining supercar-like performance with unparalleled comfort and efficiency.
