Bentley has its sights set squarely on electrification, but as it gets ready to build new electric versions of its current premium lineup and introduce new fully electric Bentley models in the future, the British automaker's Mulliner division has introduced a brand-new, ultra-limited model at the recent Monterey Car Week.
The all-new Bentley Batur is a very limited model with just 18 units planned for production. It is based off of the Bentley Continental GT, but as you can see in the images it features a completely distinct body. What is under the hood is even more impressive than what is around it.
The Bentley Batur features the legendary Bentley W12 engine, this time pushed to 729 horsepower. This is a pure high-performance vehicle that is named after Lake Batur, a 290-foot deep crater lake in Bali. it will be sold for over 2 million dollars and it promises to go down in history as one of the most remarkable performance cars ever built.
The chassis uses a combination of technologies found on the W12 Bentley Continental GT including air springs, adjustable dampers, and a 48-volt anti-roll system. The Batur has already been fully sold and many future buyers travelled to Monterrey to see the unveiling and also finalize the specs of their own cars. Deliveries will begin in the middle of next year.
