Last month, Bentley unveiled the remarkable new Continental GT Speed coupe, and this month Bentley introduces the new Bentley Continental GT Speed Convertible, the top-down version of the most fun to drive Bentley ever.
The new Continental GT Speed Convertible has the same features as the coupe including a more aggressive design, a more powerful stance, and a more powerful engine, but it gives the owner the opportunity to enjoy all of it with the wind in their hair. There’s also a range of roof colors available including tweed.
The Continental GT Speed is truly the driver’s car in the Continental convertible lineup. With its impressive 6.0-litre W12 TSI engine that delivers 650 bhp and 664 pound-feet of torque, the Continental GT Speed reaches 100 km/h in just 3.7 seconds.
The difference in performance between the GT Speed Convertible and Coupe is difficult to perceive. The change in weight is controlled, and when the top is up the level of quietness in the cabin is nearly identical to the Coupe. The roof lowers in a Z motion in just 19 seconds, making it one of the quickest to do so in the industry.
“The new Speed is the most driver-focused Continental GT Convertible available and unique in its ability to offer extremely refined, all-season open-top Grand Touring with the added edge of astonishing performance and dynamism”, says Chris Craft, Member of the Board for Sales and Marketing at Bentley Motors.
“Combined with exquisite, handcrafted interior details, the Continental GT Speed Convertible exemplifies all Bentley knows about creating the world’s most stylish and elegant cars for roof-down motoring.”
