The Flying Spur blends craftsmanship and dynamic performance into an exclusive series of sedans. Each model delivers the exhilarating performance you expect from Bentley and is offered in 12- and 8-cylinder power. Loaded with intuitive technology, the Flying Spur also keeps you informed and connected. Following are three things to know about the 2020 Flying Spur.
The Flying Spur model line includes five trims: New Flying Spur, Flying Spur W12 S, Flying Spur W12, Flying Spur V8 S, and Flying Spur V8. The S models are more sports-focused and powerful. The W12 S is the fastest four-door Bentley ever produced, and the V8 S isn’t too far behind. The other trims focus on contemporary styling, but are still among the most powerful sedans on the road.
The W12-driven models deliver 616 - 626 hp and between 590 - 664 lb-ft of torque. This effortless power will place the Flying Spur far ahead of the pack on any road. The eight-cylinder models range from 500 to 521 bhp and up to 502 lb-ft of torque, also earning them a first-place position wherever you drive it. They can also achieve a combined fuel efficiency rating of 10.9 L/100km (city/highway).
Every Flying Spur engine pairs with the eight-speed, dual-clutch automatic Quickshift transmission that delivers the power smoothly on an easy drive or promptly and precisely on a test track. Models that include the Torsen all-wheel drive system are biased to a 40:60 split towards the rear for optimum performance.
The torque-vectoring system employs braking on the inside wheels as the vehicle corners, creating a more agile experience. Four driving modes provide a more personalized driving experience and include Comfort, Sport, Bentley and Custom. The car’s sound is even adjustable using the Adaptive Valve Control, which adds clarity during Sport Mode and a discreet profile in Comfort Mode.
Available are amenities that start with the New Flying Spur’s redesigned cabin with a panoramic glass sunroof, to the S trim’s Sports Plus steering wheel, a variety of interior trims and finishings and much more. You can also choose the Mulliner Driving specification that offers an opulent cabin curated to your own specific needs.
